I changed the picture to black and white because i feel it made the picture stand out and make more of a statement. The reason i only cropped and turned my picture black and white as i feel my picture did not need much editing but the editing i did do has now improved the pictures. The orignal colours were dull but the saturation worked. (Top picture before, Bottom picture after.)
The techniques i used was changing the exposure. I did this because i thought that in places of the original picture was dull. I also put the brightness up a bit as i wanted the whole picture to light up more to bring out the colours. However The orignal colours were mixed and have benefitted from this edit. I also cropped the picture to attract attention to the middle of the picture. (Top picture before, Bottom picture After.)
In this edited picture i have used selective colour as certain colour then can stand out. I also used brightness and contrast to darken the picture and possibly lighten the picture in certain places. I made the picture darker for the purpose of the background, things were going on and i now think the picture has defiantly been improved with the editing that has been done to it. (After top picture, Before bottom picture.)
I have edited this picture and changed it to black and white, i did this because there was a range of dull colours and this picture looks a lot better now it's just black and white. It brings out the white in the picture and the background of the photo also stands out nicely in black and white. The purpose of this edit was to block out the mixture of colours in this picture. the background of the picture took the colour away from the centre of the picture which didnt make the picture look as good.
